Hello, everyone! I am new to fishbowl, the Healthcare field, and fairly new to my company. One of my primary goals, besides finding the highest quality talent to join our team, is to expand my network. If anyone here is willing to send me a LinkedIn connect request I would be very appreciative! It will be a mutual benefit, I assure you.

Tech Mahindra Hey guys, I attempted Hackathon by tech Mahindra (for jr java developer 1-3 yr exp). After 3 days I received a call from hr confirming that I have been shortlisted and took hr round on that call. Later I received a document verification mail asking for all essential docs which are required for joining, but didn't received any offer letter yet. When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?
Is banking worth it?

I work in ID at a private firm but i have a couple friends who work as staff counsel for Allstate and Geico and they say it's awful. Lots of micromanagement and no authority to get claims settled without running I to their manager and/or their managers manager
^ this is all I’ve heard from friends that work on the other side
I do plaintiffs work but it's a small community and I know they hate it. Super overworked and undermanned. Your caseload will be astronomical
Also curious to know this
Note to self: don’t leverage ID firm experience to ID in house.
Depends upon what you are looking for. Heavy caseload but never need to ever do a deposition. Some you never have to bill. Lots of reporting up the chain on higher value cases. Lots of micromanagement at some places. Salary is below what you would expect, esp with law degree.
Spoke with someone that just started at Progressive with 4 years experience and they’re starting at $150k, 40% bonus, 6% 401k match, in addition to full remote. 80 cases. Doesn’t sound too bad!
I'm a managing attorney in a small (4 lawyers) staff counsel office for a major auto insurer. Work loads are heavy but benefits and work-life balance is good. The pay is decent and the opportunity for advancement in the company is good. Being able to work without having to bill hours is one of the main reasons I've been here over ten years, and why we've only had one attorney leave the office in that entire time. Since I've been here I've had over a dozen jury trials and got board certification as a civil trial specialist.
I work for an in house carrier in the NY area. Been here over 10 years. Depends what you want out of a job. Caseloads are high (115-130 of your own cases start to finish) and quite a bit of reporting to Claims. You get lots of deposition and first chair trial experience. The benefit is the work life balance for sure, though that has degraded post-Covid a bit.
Thanks. It appears Progressive is one of the better ones to work for in my area. Almost $200k (expected) total comp for someone with 4ish years experience in a fully remote environment almost seems too good to be true.
