Specialize in HY in v20 and often see Cahill on the other side whenever I do issuer side work. I never see the same person more than twice. They are a special type of miserable. They have a lot of deal volume but I've often found 3-4th years could not handle anything substantive if it couldn't be found EXACTLY in a recent precedent.

I used to be there. It’s a miserable joint people should use as a highway until they find the right exit. And that’s any exit.

Curious about this too. Thought they were one of the go-to’s for levfin

Ex Cahill corporate associate, worked there for almost 3 years. Burnt me to a crisp and everyone else I know. Truly miserable place to work. They’re even calling people who left and begging them to return. I’ve worked at other biglaw shops since leaving and there is no comparison. You’ve got to really hate yourself (and your friends/family) to work there

Why would you say that? I haven’t heard anything. Not there but know a bunch of folks.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.

Does anyone do a high level check of all earnings less all major purchases cumulatively to see what it comes out to compared to what you actually have in liquid assets? Kind of disappointed with the VPB, the ones with differentiating got 21% that is a big difference. Was expecting around 15%. Anyways, now waiting for the hike but not keeping any high hope as I was expecting market correction. 😪

Kind of niche question here but under NY CPLR, if a plaintiff files a MTD/MSJ, and then the defendants file opposition papers containing information that the court had previously ordered to be kept under seal, would you a) file a reply asking to seal/strike the opposition papers or b) file a separate OTSC since you’re now seeking additional relief not sought in the original motion?
