I have been an empowered for 5+ almost 6 years. It is a dumpster 🔥 in our state and everyone is trying to get out. Constant turnover because management is SO disconnected and expectations are not realistic. I love working with memebers and the case work advocacy that they need. Being someone they can depend on is important to me and unfortunately the team is not supported.

Sounds like my last job, lol. Time to move on.

Do you negotiate 10-15% rent reduction during viewings (zoopla, rightmove apartments)? Tips?

Serious question. An agency partially books you for an extended period but only at maybe 20%. After signing the contract for the dates in question, the vendor they hired asks to push back their start date by a couple weeks. I sit on my hands (not totally, I have other stuff happening). Do I bill them for two weeks of doing nothing per the contract?

Also, anything using my MBA would be favored as well, this degree is not healthcare specific. Thank you!

Job base salary presented by HR during screening interview was $130-$145k. I have 3-5 years more experience and more education compared to the posting requirements (BA required, I have a MS). I love the position and what it entails, but was hoping to reach $150-$160 base salary. If offered the position, is this a reasonable ask? This is for big pharma, data analytics in New England.

I was just offered an RN II position at Stanford Hospital’s B3 unit for $84/hour. Are there any RNs out there who can tell me what it’s like working on the unit and if it’s worth leaving my job for? I love my current job, my schedule and the people. I have no problems with it except that it’s 1.5 hours away from my family and it pays $25/hour less than Stanford.

Also, do you think it’s too late to ask if I can visit the unit before I make my decision? Thanks in advance.

I am a skilled nursing facility biller and collector for Medicare & Insurance, my job can absolutely be remote but the company I work for refuses to allow employees to work remotely. I’ve been with this company for 10 years and am looking elsewhere to find the same position but remote so I can move out of state. Noticing that other companies don’t pay billers well, making me feel stuck. This job is a lot harder than people realize and feeling like I already don’t get paid enough. Any advice?

Does anyone have leads for a recent MPH Epidemiology grad with 0-2 YOE to get into consultant roles in Healthcare/life sciences?

I am so conflicted and not sure what to do. A company I wanted to work for was not ready for hire when I first reached out in Sept. Since then I have accepted a job at a outpatient oncology clinic, starting in Jan at a renowned hosp. Having said that the other company does more of what I was hoping to do when I left my previous job. The company is a vessel for new ideas in healthcare helping their community specifically with seed funding, & launching their own programs. I have no idea what to do

I've been working in the NHS as an orthopaedic surgeon for over 10 years. I have recently made the transition over to industry working for a pharmcovigilance and certification body TUV SUD. Early signs are great. I know several clinicians who are currently advocating the overworked underpaid mantra and would like a referral. Let me know if you are keen to hear more.

So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Because I am able to “pick up and go” I’m open to opportunities and locations. I’ve never worked with a recruiter but was hoping I could get some recommendations!
