On track for promo in a year at my current company. Is my projected salary after that promotion a valid strategy for a salary nego at a new place even tho it’s so far out? Any other strategies?
I had a recruiter from EY contact me for a Manager role. What’s the culture like at EY? How’s the WLB? Would you recommend working there or should I run? 😅
What is a reasonable salary expectation for exit opportunities for an audit M1 looking to move into an accounting/reporting role? HCOL (NYC area)
Got an informal offer to join a client (manufacturing company). 240k base, 60k cash bonus target (can shrink or double depending on company metrics) + 50k annual equity (3 yr rolling vesting). Director level which has just one additional layer between me and the Exec Committee. My contact already internal negotiated extra vacation and is working on my behalf for a signing bonus. Is it worth trying to negotiate base? Or is this already a strong offer?
Anyone familiar with comp range the Senior Program Architect role at Salesforce? Also, thoughts on Nvidia and comp for an engineer role?
Comp #s for 2nd years who rolled to PE?
Applied to Guidehouse for managing consultant, put 140k as expected comp (lol why not). Recruiter set up intro discussion to discuss “next steps”. Pretty sure my comp expectation is far beyond the norm. Any thoughts?
Someone want to explain how everyone in consulting can be this duped... we accept promotions for more responsibilities without knowledge of compensation... that literally doesn’t happen anywhere else. How dumb are we? Ps. I don’t count myself, I’ve never taken a promotion without jumping firms :) though plan on doing it next year - as SM
A question for Big 4 peeps - if you know the salary range in the group you wanna go for is 150k to 170k, how much should you say when the HR asks you how much you want? Is 180k too much to start with? (Didn’t want to start with 170k since they will only come back with lower I assume)
Have an offer that pays ~$350-450k a year, but is very bonus heavy and about 25% of that or more will be restricted stock and options. Making ~$350k now all cash. And the way it’s structured, in the first year I’ll end up being ~$50k short for the year of where I would be if I stayed. Also requires a big move to a location I’m not too keen on. WLB is better, probably 50 hours a week but need to be plugged in 100% of the time. Any considerations I haven’t really thought about? What should I ask?
What's the culture like at Liberty Mutual? Especially for women. Considering a position there and would love to know what you've observed if you've done any work there.
Was let go as a staff 2 at 77k in September and currently have 3 offers in deciding between them. Would really appreciate any feedback. 1. 3rd year associate at PWC -HIA at 85k. 2. Transformation analyst at a big 3 automaker 83.5k 10% bonus. 3. Product development role at a healthcare startup. 100k 7.5k sign on and 7.5k bonus in 3 months. Potential 20% bonus at year end.
Getting tired of the consulting culture and the age bias. Where are all the professionals “our age” moving on to?
Anyone familiar with Bluestar bioadvisors ? Type of work? Culture? How highly regarded in industry? Thx
I know this is stupid / petty but I just found out my new salary & I finally make more than my husband! He’s always made more & I spend more than him and have always felt bad about it. Not any more 🙌
Any consultants from Services sector like Wipro? How’s the culture of Wipro in US ? I am getting a Practice Head Offer for Atlanta GA @ C2 Band...
Does anyone else feel like their burn-out cycle is shorter? It used to take me about 2 years of grind before I hit a burn-out phase where I needed to do some serious recuperating. It feels like I'm at 3 months now, or even less. I've already spoken to my wife about building quarterly mini-vacations into my schedule just to keep my energy up. And by burn-out, I mean you're at the point that every single ball you are juggling can drop and you get fired and almost see that as a blessing.
What is the acceptable time frame to follow up with someone who is tardy for a zoom call? What’s the allowed grace period? Five minutes? Ten minutes?
Anyone transfer from Canada to the US? Making $105k CAD as an SC at D and Deloitte US is offering me $145k USD SC. On paper, it’s the same role (Salesforce) but has anyone transferred to provide insight on WLB, culture, etc?
4th year M with $170k base and a total comp of $190k. Not keen on making SM. If I jump ship to Google what level and comp can I expect? 11 YOE eCommerce and hold a MBA. Thanks.

Interview on Friday for an internal audit position. Apparently I have to write a case assessment an hour prior to the interview (like an exam). Has anyone done such a thing before? Any tips?
Immediate reaction: cool! I bet that’s a really fun account and they’ll be hiring a lot! Second thought: oh wait, Richards Group has a mandatory start time *puts away resume* https://adage.com/article/agency-news/hold-shiner-beers-picks-richards-group-creative-shop/315950/
I seriously doubt some of the recruiters and hiring managers in the big4s now a days, their decisions w.r.t. designation and pay depends on their mood and willingness to work on a particular day.. They will interview for X designation and then will ghost you and then will come back with a lower level and pay saying would you be interested?🤣 Why would somebody be interested to join at a lesser pay, when he/she is currently well in his/her job and just found the opportunity more interesting...
Exp. Associate at 28 years old. Worked in the engineering industry after grad school and then switched to my current role in consulting. Am I too old for this job?
Hello all - I got hired by a company based in Massachusetts for a 100% WFH role and will be moving to Texas. Because I’m based in Texas and the company in mass, do I still have to pay income tax in Mass? Big reason for moving to Texas was COL

Anyone with experience negotiating above the stated salary range? Job posting says 75-90k, assuming they offer at the higher end that’s less than 15% pay bump for me but I liked the company and the people I interviewed with.
This is for my real estate agents. I’m brand new into the business and I adore the work. What tips or pointers can you give to a new agent- I’m in Las Vegas if it helps to be specific. If anyone has any book recommendations that’d be awesome as well. I’m looking to learn anything and everything. For example, learning what I can and can’t do to make a deal close
