Asking for advice and I hope ok in this bowl. My daughter who has anxiety and panic attacks just went on Prozac. I have read up on it and many of risks scare me including increase risk of suicide. How long is an appropriate time to bill for preparing to take a deposition of opposing party? I’m in AZ and the depo is limited to 4 hours. But will probably not be that long. I feel like I have spent too much time preparing.
So I’ve been talking to this guy for about 7 months and everytime I bring up our relationship status, his response is that we’re more than friends but not in relationship. He’s introduced me to all his friends and wants to me to get along with them. Idk what to do? I actually like this guy, but is he really worth it?
I have a bad autoimmune disease and my doctor(s) recommended I don’t get the vaccine because it would probably put me into a flare.
Does anyone work in primary care and not have any administration time build in your schedule? I am considering leaving a job with 6 hrs a week of admin time for another job without admin time. I am wondering how providers function without having this time.
Is it ok to switch after 4-5months of joining?
Junior creative team w/ 2 years experience working at a top NYC agency. We've just been scouted by another agency. They're offering a us promotion. What is a fair salary ask for in this position?
Bought a car in Texas this weekend and moving to Boston in August. Will I have to pay sales tax in Massachusetts too or will they just charge the difference (same sales tax rate in Texas on cars so no difference)
Hey fellow women in consulting, I have a holiday office party coming up and cocktail attire is the guidance. I have a lace dress. But wonder if lace dresses are appropriate. Don't want to show up like I have come for a wedding. Thanks!
Have a couple friends visiting next weekend. Any recommendations for fun bars/clubs where I could reserve 1-2 tables for 10-12 guys?

Hi. I have been nursing for about 15 years mostly in dialysis. I am ready for a change, being able to work remotely. I enjoy problem solving and was thinking something like coding, chart reviews. Any suggests on how or where to start looking?

My spouse and I recently adopted an older shelter dog (Carlotta). Some of the other MDs at my hospital were putting together a "Dr. and Dog" social event, so I took Carlotta. The amount of jabs I got for bringing a shelter "mutt" (with typical elderly dog health ailments) instead of purchasing an expensive designer dog like everyone else was astounding. I'm sorry I didn't pay thousands for a purebred or socially-acceptable mutt. Is this level of snobbery typical in dog circles??
I recently learned that I’m the lowest paid Optician at my job but the ONLY one with any sort of optical/optometric tech experience. How should I proceed? I love my job but I don’t appreciate being unfairly paid
Anyone working as a 1099 employee?
Hello! anybody here worked in Mt Sinai research in Genetics/clinical trials dept? How’s the workload and the staff? They are looking for RNs to run trials and pay is very high. Any feedback is highly appreciated, thank you!
PSA: I had a horrible experience applying for a job at Devoted Health. Applied online and then got asked to schedule a phone interview. On the day of the interview, I waited 20 min and nothing happened. I emailed the HR rep, he didn’t acknowledge or apologize and just told me to reschedule so I did. I even sent a separate email to confirm the second phone call. Second day of the interview, same thing, no show. I sent an email letting him know that my time is not being valued. (Cont’d)
Hey all!! Was wondering if anyone had any feedback on Davita and Fresenius in Virginia Beach?
Has anyone negotiated pay at a hospital or company that states they have different levels/tiers of fixed pay for so-and-so profession and can’t budge? I’ve worked in other fields prior to healthcare and have a hard time believing every (pick profession like PT) gets paid exactly (pick random number like $72,345). I’m skeptical because it sounds like “we have levels/tiers of fixed pay and can’t budge” is just an excuse to shut down negotiation right away. Can anyone share their experience?
I’m leaving my job soon but I’m wondering if I should be truthful when I hand in my letter of resignation. There’s a ton of reasons but it boils down to: I’m worth more than they can pay me and I need to pay off these student loans. What should I say?
Good morning! Does anyone work for cvs as a case manager? What has your experience been like? I have a interview.
Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? And how would I be able to cross over to management?
Currently in outpatient ortho PT. Been in the career for several years and I’ve enjoyed it but I’m wanting to look for other opportunities outside of patient care. No interest in doing a residency or teaching. I’ve been thinking of doing an MBA but unsure of what opportunities out there such as admin roles, ortho sales, consulting, etc. I’ve taken several business classes in undergrad and enjoyed them. Looking for advice on career transition and whether an MBA is worth it. Thanks!
Anyone from Novartis that I can link with?
I’ve worked at the VA for two years and I feel like the managers are in a way stopping my growth. Whenever I want to learn something new or get training on a new specialty, they shrug me off and allow someone else to get it.
