Alvarez and Marsal is wanting me to come in at an associate level although I’m a senior in Big 4 FDD. Thoughts on this? Person told me associates at A&M get around 90k base plus bonus and seniors there get around 120 plus bonus. Should I push for Senior, and how would I even do that? I already verbally expressed that desire. Should I just wait a few months till I have more than a year of senior experience? Any associates shed light on their bonus? Is it 100% of your salary or more like 20-30%?

Our firm doesn’t have anything that is standard or used at all, and while some of us are starting to venture into using Microsoft Teams, I feel like there are so many tools out there and we could be doing things way more efficiently. I’m a recruiter who would like to eventually pivot to HR but I don’t have an HR degree. I’m considering pursing a Masters degree however am torn between HR or Org Psych/Org Development. Would love to hear folks’ perspective of either degree!

Do people within Deloitte HC feel like HC gets the best WLB out of all the other groups? Obviously depends on project…but just in general. Seems like it’s less stressful. Which is what I want.

Current analyst (1.5 YOE) here with a strong interest in DevOps and Project Management. I feel like I am slowly but surely getting pigeon-holed in L&D work. I don’t like it, but my leaders continue to tell me that all experience is good experience. Should I try to breakout and find a variety of experience this early in my career or should I try to make it to 3 years and re-evaluate then? Have you had a similar experience? What have you done?

I have a Masters in Org Development. Should I get an MBA? Most of last 10 years experience have been in HR, with 2 years in consulting. However, job options still seem limited. Currently living in Texas making 80K but would like to make 100-120k.

Seeking advice for moving from industry leadership role (dr of training) into HC consulting. 20+ years in TD (L&D, PC, OCM). Industry roles for last 5 years but spent most of my career in small consulting orgs.
CPTD but no degree (long story, about 15 cr shy). Would you suggest addl cert (CCMP, SHRM-C)? Will the lack of degree a no-go or is there a way in while I finish? A Sr director role is being dangled. Would the title bump help with the transition or do I risk missing a hot market?

How hard was the prosci certification exam for you? (I know, significantly easier than CPA, etc). Wondering because I’m pretty bad at test taking.
