Anyone work in reinsurance? Recruiter told me of an opportunity but I’ve never considered the industry so don’t know what that would look like in terms of industry culture and career path going forward. Thank you.

Currently working as a finance analyst II for a fortune 100 company in a corporate finance role. I'm looking for a job where I can utilize my soft skills more, whether that's in sales (tech or medical), consulting as a business development representative, or some sore of client relationship role for an investment bank. I have about 2 years of full-time experience. Any recommendations for exit ops?

Graduated a web dev bootcamp back in 2018. Ended up taking a non coding job and was there for 2 years (contract expired). I now want to get back into coding after a long time off, but not sure where to start and how to go about getting a job in a market saturated with entry level devs. Any advice?

Hi fishes, anyone here who moved from India to Spain? I need some insights from someone who has made this transition.

How can I pivot from working as an ad agency art director to a commercial director/DP? I’m trying to get on as much commercial production experience as possible in my current role to build up experience. I’m also doing a lot of side projects - I have a couple shorts in some no name festivals and am getting better on each project. My original thought was to work my way up to Creative Director and pivot from there but I’m not sure if that’s the correct route. Any advice is appreciated!!

I'm an investment banker and in late stages of a couple CorpDev roles of Fortune 200 companies. Both roles report to Head of CorpDev. I would be interested to understand the typical career progression. Assuming Head of CorpDev will stay in position for the next 5-10 years, what is the expectation of upward mobility then? Is it more common to progress through jumping around to different companies?

I got an offer for a 3-mo contingent role at Meta as a CSM that pays more than double what I make now.

The pay rate makes it hard (if not impossible) to say no - but I'm apprehensive about accepting a contract offer, especially one that's only 3-months  ending on Jan 2.

Obviously, I'm already thinking about what I'd do next. I'd love to stay in tech. Just curious if anyone has experience with a short-term contract & what the job-search process looks like during/after the contract expires.

I am coming from a place of ignorance - not sure what would suit my background.

Can I ask the AVP of department to shift me in another team of same department, I have joined the organization 1 week ago, shall I talk to my TL before telling AVP or should not say at all. Will it create any bad image of me infront of my AVP and my TL. Plz suggest..

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
