I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

I did it and it didn’t seem worth the stress. I started with 90% and then dropped to 75%. At the end of the day, I was still working over full time (75% of 65 hr week is 48.75hrs) during busy season and 75% of my pay was embarrassing. Also, got benefits like wellness rewards and PTO reduced. Not to mention, some people saw me leaving early and I felt judged a lot. When people would comment, “must be nice,” I would respond,” you’re free to have your salary reduced as well.” It just got old.
Not worth it. Just work normal hours with the flexibility to be home or with your child as needed. I find this much easier. I work full schedule but on my time.
I have been on flexible work arrangement for the last 4 years, I work 4 days a week or 32 hours. The pay cut sucks but so worth it. I used to work 60-80 hours per week, now I work only my 32, rarely if there is client deadline I work late or log in on the weekend. When my youngest child was home I didn’t work at all on my day off, once he started full time preschool, I work when he is in school but then I work less the other days so in total it is still 32 hrs. I think the major difference what’s your level, if you are a staff or senior it would probably be impossible, but if you are heavy manager/ senior manager and in charge of your schedule, it is definitely doable.
I have a coworker who is in 50% and pretty sure she freaking loves it
In Deloitte tax we expect lot of flexible work arrangements after October 15
Lot of people will be have lay-off and if unlucky furloughed
I think a lot more senior managers and above have reduced schedule, for senior it is very hard, and for staff it is nearly impossible
Yes. I know a few.
At moss you can work just 40 hours during busy season but you’ll have to take a large paycheck deduction.
Moss isn’t a big 4 firm.
I know a director who works 90%. All in they probably still work about as much but view the pay cut as buying back their afternoons and evenings so they have the flexibility to wrap things up after kids have gone to sleep.
