Isn’t Mac OS excel missing a ton of features?
Youve exposed me as an imposter quasi-IT middle manager. I haven’t noticed any missing features 🤣
Shortcuts lacking on macs. Reduces my productivity by 30%+ which is a no go.
Yeah when you have Windows muscle memory for Excel shortcuts, switching to Mac version is horrible.
MS office is on MacOS and works great except there is no Visio Mac App. Why would parallels be needed? I use Excel on my Mac every day
Mac OS Excel is indeed missing a lot of features and shortcuts, so if you’re using Excel for intense work beyond simple formulas/tables, it’s probably worth it to either stick to a Windows device or pursue a remote OS system. I use Parallels, but not for Microsoft OS purposes — I use it as a remote server access point — and don’t have many issues, though sometimes the connection drops off… this might be a server issue and not a Parallels issue though. I know several people who use VMware for this, and have a decent enough time, but it can be quite slow. Mac OS Excel does the job for simple use, but power use or any sort of complex analysis demands the Windows version in my opinion
I think most people speak how it use to be on Mac. I run semi advanced excel and are not lack any functions. Shortcuts are different and you need to re learn most of them.
And with the new M1 processor on Mac. An excel sheet that almost killed my old dell xps is my new mac eating as a snack.
