Seeking advice for a friend. He called me this afternoon basically saying he was being put on a PIP, this is after the company had said a few times he was not learning the role fast enough, only executing duties at about a 20% accuracy week 1 of PIP, week 2 60%, now we are at week 3 back to 50% (UA role, has been there since June). I recently came across a post that said “40k for an adult with a degree is a joke”. I recently graduated with a BA in communication. I have little to no experience outside of college as well as few jobs while in school that don’t relate to my major. I’ve been there 2.5 years and, when I came on, the role was pitched as one that would grow into counsel, then GC, within 5 years. Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).

They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.

Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?

I have a couple screening calls for some pretty awesome companies and I would love some pointers on how to beat the objection that I have only been in my farming role since June. How would you sell the fact you want to go back to SDR, I am sick and tired of non revenue generating activity and miss having a list to attack.

Don’t assume that more likes and comments directly lead to sales. I’ve had posts with 20 likes that generated me more leads than a post with 100 likes.
