Don’t work with them in the future and try to pick your battles until then.

Try to understand their reasoning, why they are leaning towards that decision, it will help you pivot your explanation based upon their thinking.

They are a peer. Working cross functionally on a project

Let them win.

Hey I just moved to the US from Israel, and the OTE term is new to me. Can you expand more about it? Is it worth it? Because I applied for a job and the salary is $55K, but the OTE is $150K, is it worth it? How do you see it on your payslip? Is it something tricky? Is all the 401K that the employer match coming off the whole payslip or only from the base salary part? What do I need to know?

Hi,
I joined wipro last year with 11 YOE . Recently I got call from my project manager to return to office from next month and I need to relocate to other state since there is no project ODC at my base location. I said am not willing to relocate due to family dependency. Am not sure how my PM will get back to me on this.
Any suggestions in this situation?

Is there anyway to safely name and shame individuals who have committed workplace abuse & harassment ?
My lawyer had advised me not to speak on my situation at first but is now saying I could share something if I wanted to. I've had a few significant career/personal harmful experiences with individuals in high positions of power at well known companies. It seems insane to me that these people continue to be allowed to work and control many people's careers without being held accountable.

I’m new (well, 6 months new) in my position and I’m guaranteed a promotion to general manager within the next 6 months once my training is complete. I’m really struggling with feeling somewhat useless and I’m sure it’s just the newness to the role but I don’t know how to help myself feel better and raise my confidence. Advice? 😖

Didn’t grow up with a lot of money, which forced my parents to be very frugal raising me. Seeing how differently they got treated when going to buy things they had saved for, versus the people who came in with obvious cash is something I’ll never forget. So now any time i go buy anything expensive I always dress way down, and be mindful of the people ignoring me in a store/dealership. Fun times.

So I’ve been at a company for a year now and finally getting offered a contract.. which I was so excited about until I realized that it comes with a pay cut.. then I was told that the pay cut didn’t mean much since the benefits are amazing.

-PTO is great but not worth a 10k pay cut
-Health care is great but also not with a 10k pay cut (especially since I will keep my old insurance)
-company getting more funding but still decided to cut peoples pay✅✅✅✅✅

Getting offers at top companies I never imagine I’d have a chance to compete in even- and kinda don’t give a shit. Getting offers is exciting but then everything else is so less motivating. Brand names and money just not doing it at all for me anymore at 33yo :/ don’t what what would.
