Anyone worked at TracyLocke Chicago recently? How’s the vibe?

I went to my boss with a question about how I should respond to opposing counsel on a matter. I did this because I did not want to say the wrong thing to this O/C. I explained to the partner what my intended response was going to be. He didn’t like it. He told me I need to choose my words carefully and sound like a lawyer. I don’t know if I should be insulted or ignore it.

I'm a successful Manager and make a good living. I support my family of 4 since my husband is a house husband and has been for the past 9 years since my first child was born. Now my kids are 9 and 7 and I feel like I don't make enough money. I'd like my husband to go back to work but he has no interest. He loves being home for the kids and he cooks, cleans, does the yard work, and does ALL handy-man tasks around the house. Am I being selfish?

Got a BS in Advertising in 2018 and have good knowledge of Adobe (photoshop, indesign, illustrator). Agency experience for 6 months doing PR, 1 year at marketing agency (google ads, SEO, analytics) and haven’t been able to work for a year due to visa processing so I’ve been doing freelance work: websites, social media… I believe I want to do strategy at an agency but also like consulting firms. If you have unlimited PTO, how unlimited is it?

If your company gave you a wfh supplies allowance, how much was it? New job sent me a laptop and said if I want them to order me a monitor or desk chair or other supplies, send them a link and they’ll let me know if it’s approved. They didn’t specify an amount. The only thing I really need is an external monitor, since the laptop they sent has a really small screen. What’s a reasonable amount to request?
