Has anyone ever considered leaving consulting to do a passion project full time? I’m thinking about taking a LOA to try it out, and since I have no other responsibilities, (single, no kids, no loans) I feel like now is the perfect time. The only thing holding me back is no steady income (for now??) and the fact that opportunities in my industry of interest have also slowed. Thoughts?
New hire here, just started in financial services but have regrets, when is the best time to ask to be transfer to a commercial client instead?
How much of Aon Inpoint work is internal strategy vs client facing projects?
What are salaries like for director level?
What do I have to do to get to an M7 if I had an abysmal UG gpa? (E.g, start a startup, get good project feedback?)
Two weeks left at the firm. Project is slow, haven't been doing much. Could probably be doing more work to be proactive etc. Should I care?
Feeling super ragey on my current project & I know it’s the lack of process & planning. I want to work with more women in the org but there’s not many in my practice or unsure how to get staffed on those.
All this hyper regulation, why is there a new story every day about some scum bag rep outright stealing from an elderly client? I can’t get a piece of advertising approved for two months, but some
Fam - have a problem. Manager is clueless. I handle everything on project. I am on phone with multiple client VPs everyday. They don't include manager bc of above reason (continued)
Has anyone ever gotten a completely BS eval/review from a partner before? The quote from the partner was: “X performed at my expectation level. X knows I have high expectations in the technical area, and I feel that X’s technical and client skills are very strong.” How can someone give out a “meets expectations” but then say their expectations are high but that I have very strong skills in that area?!
Have any of you gone client side to a big brand and regretted it? Anyone gone client side and come back to agency? If so, why?

Just had a meeting with one of the MBB for our project and their manager is getting crushed by my director. Bit awk to be in the call. Y’all have experiences like this or it’s common?

If there's anything I've learned in my first year of accounting, it's not the project you're on but who's your manager. Good manager = good experience. #payitforwardseniors
Best project names?
My Senior Manager just put meeting on the calendar with our client & me to discuss project extension... but client offered me a job earlier today instead. That's going to be an awkward conversation.
Brought in as an analytics SME to help validate a client model in an industry and sector and account i am very unfamiliar with. Little direction or guidance so I followed up with my M to ask what exac
I went for a second opinion consult: they had my age wrong and started counseling me as a 39yo; I’m 37. If I wanted any hope of a second child, she said to go straight to IVF to bank eggs/embryos and have better control over health of embryo. (I’ve lost 18mo of trying to miscarriages.) She backpedaled when she learned my age and said IUI was fine. Now, I’m panicking and can’t help but wonder if we *should* go straight to IVF. What would you do?
Black male big law corporate associate here with a unique, some might call “ethnic” first name. Should I feel a way about certain colleagues never using my name in email correspondence, when they commonly use the names of other associates in emails? (I.e. I send an email to a specialist and in their response they don’t greet me, they just dive in to the legal question. I have my white first year named “Tom” or something else white and generic send a similar email and it’s met with “Hi Tom…”)
Is anyone else dreading getting back to working from the office? I’m quite an introvert and actually enjoyed this work from home, more exercise, less travel, family time and most importantly didn’t have to talk to anyone, lol!
Is it possible to change jobs with an approved I-140 and for the green card process to continue smoothly? Can anyone talk about their experience and whether there were any delays or additional challenges faced. TIA
Have an offer from a company and they have started my visa transfer but I want to give notice to my current employer before the application is sent to uscis and join once we get the receipt notice. Any harm or risks associated with it? Has anyone heard cases of rejection for visa transfers lately? TIA
