I have the basic books like don’t make me think, and 100 things. I’ll be joining a startup soon as chief designer, and will be back to being a full stack designer — I’ve been an IC for the past few years, so I definitely need to improve on strategies and maybe frameworks when it comes to UX. Brand Strategy/Planning roles aren't typical in PR. So every new Account hire arrives with no experience working with a Strategist. I'm tired of explaining/showing my role adds necessary value. I love strategy, but I have an offer at another agency to move into Account as Group SVP. They want to "customize" the role for my experience, but I'm afraid it will just be on paper and people will expect me to know things I just won't. I can't afford to be fired. Thoughts? Considerations? Watch-outs?

Am I being a complete idiot? Current employer decided to move to another state more in line with their industry. We can either move with them, find a job elsewhere, or commit to stay until our position is transferred and be awarded a severance package (16 weeks pay). I’ve been getting reached out to by recruiters and almost passed out when I saw the salaries. I’m severely underpaid… like by 50% or more. So why am I struggling to leave??? Why do I care that I won’t be committing??

What are the skills that a business analyst should have or is good to have for better scope...I am learning python ...can I add business analytics to my role...also do skills like AWS, SQL ,etc help or does only the core experience of BA matters ?

Looking forward in my career, one avenue I see is making a switch from manager to strategic leader. I am looking at courses or certifications in strategic leadership. What advice might you have in making this transition and are there any courses, certifications, or books that you might recommend.

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? I am currently a staff 3 at EY GDS and got confirmation on my promotion. I will be a S1 effective from october and i got the exceptional performer rating.

But i have 3 YOE with 8 LPA and i received an indirect hint that my hike wont be good.

Please let me know your thoughts? How much can i expect in terms (%) increment this year based on the promotion? Is that even dependent on the promotion?

And should i look for other opportunities considering the YOE and current package?

How difficult is it to get base location changed at GDS?
