What are your opinions about potential big4 layoffs in m&a tax? Campus hiring starting next year so I don’t have a good idea of what people are thinking at the firm. I know m&a is typically not where you want to be in a recession so I’m curious about job security starting next year. Any insights/opinions would be appreciated. EY PwC Deloitte KPMG

I have an offer from Capco, it was much lower then I expected for the SC level EA at £80k. I'm at a stable role at a bank with a great WLB. My wife is a front line work. So I can take care of the baby, with the next coming soon. My dilemma is, become a consultant or stay where I am at. Consulting looks attractive as I would be speed up my career progression. Though the travel costs and child care does not warrant the base salary Capco Should I take the hit and join capco?

PwC applied for a role back in September. Did the initial screening interview. Was called the next day saying that they are extremely interested and that the next interview will be in October. Haven’t gotten an interview schedule yet but the HR representative continues to stay in touch with me by sending me current company focuses and letting me know they are working with the team for the next round. Is this just them nicely wanting me to fade away or is this expected and not red flagged.
