What’s the culture like, work/life balance, etc. I’m currently in a smaller shop where I have lots of autonomy, flexibility and are well compensated (200k base plus bonus/deal participation). I’m lacking mentorships and fear getting too comfortable and for the learning curve to stagnate. The recruiter is telling me 400-500k total comp, but the position would be a steps down in terms of title/autonomy, and far less front facing. Any advice?

Hi, I have an offer from GlobalLogic for Senior QE Manager. They are offering ₹36 lpa fixed + ₹4 lpa bonus (which is paid out 100%) = approx ₹40.5 lpa. I have my HR round scheduled with Morgan Stanley this week for Vice President QA position (designation is equivalent to Senior QA Manager). I'm thinking of quoting ₹43 lpa base (comes to approx. ₹47 lpa including PF etc.). Would this be a reasonable ask? Pls comment. YOE 17 in Quality Engineering (Java/Selenium/Test Management). Thanks.

Husband and I can’t agree on budget for our first home. HHI of $325k, not including bonus. Current rent is $2500 and saving between $8-10k/mo. No debt other than a $400/mo car loan that will be paid off soon. He’s uncomfortable with a $5k/mo mortgage and thinks it’s stretching; I think it’s very reasonable. Thoughts?

I am a third year and I set really strict boundaries. I make it a practice to not worry about work. I’m always available when I need to be but I NEVER ask for work and I never hit billables (although I’m at a firm w guaranteed bonus). Even when I’m at 0 hours for a week straight I won’t ask for work. Does anyone else do this? FWIW I’ve gotten good reviews/like the people I work w and I think they like me.

Company has offered X shares and provided 4 for potential strike prices for which I can purchase said stock (traditional vesting schedule). How would you perceive this option if my I intend to pursue graduate school in next 2-3 years? Should I try to lower this amount and ask for a higher base or sign-on bonus? Is it worth it to stay in PA until manager? I’m unhappy with the no bonus / no raise policy that most firms pull because of C-19. That’s such a nonsense because we need to deal w new regs each day.
