I had two separate interviews these past two weeks. The first one I really connected with the interviewers and felt like I hit it out of the park. The second one I didn’t feel I was as prepared for and felt like I totally bombed it. Has anyone else had this experience and still was able to move forward? I feel like I ruined my chances by not having the right answers for the two interviewers in the second interview but I’m trying to be optimistic 😅 is there still hope?

Do you think sending a “Thank You” letter after an interview helps or is this a thing of the past?

I’ve been at my clerkship for 5 years (4 with a different judge) and one with my current judge, and I heard horrible things about him before starting, but I assumed they were exaggerated. Turns out they’re all true, and I’ve had to start therapy to deal with him and the incredibly toxic environment. I’m trying to get out ASAP b/c he also has a history of firing clerks without cause or notice, but I think I’ll only be able to give two weeks notice if i get the job I’m interviewing for. Thoughts?

Just finished a phone screening for a product designer role at a well known agency. The call only last 20 minutes and I feel as if I wasn’t able to portray myself as a strong candidate. Any advice for the future?

I know for entry-level positions, the usual guideline is to have 1 page long resume.

However, how long should the resume be for experienced candidates? Someone with 3-5 years of experience?

I realize for the most part the length of the resume doesn't matter so long as it enlists the targetted and related experiences, but still would like to know the general guidelines.

Apparently I have 4 more back to back 30 minute interviews and I’m freaking out. Please share any tips and some energy to help me get through this!

I recently interviewed at a fast growing pre-IPO company for a Strategic PM role and I was sold that the comp should be around $180-200k plus RSU which should be about $300k annualized TC if all goes well. I have 14 years YOE in tech, but this would be my first intro to PM roles. How much signing bonus is reasonable to ask for if I am giving up on equity and quarterly commission pay to leave my current company?

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

For those with unlimited PTO policies, what have you done about people who are taking advantage? I know we can decline requests but other than that, how have you addressed that conversation of trending high in time off?

He said that it becomes clear to them after the technical and that there is a 3rd round with director but their process never goes to that. passed the technical very successfully but now i have been invited for the 3rd round to present a project .Have they made a decision and I’m invited just as a backup choice?
