Lol what’s in Florida…

Sunshine, Lower taxes, attractive women (mainly in Miami), beaches, nightlife..

22 million people and America’s fourth largest economy 👀. What do you mean

I don’t understand the constant debate. As someone from the NE that has lived in Florida for a while, both places have their pros and cons. New York has far more cultural events, nightlife (except maybe Miami). Florida on the other hand has great beaches, boating/fishing and lower COL. The two places are hardly even comparable. I for one plan to keep a house/apt in both places as soon as financially feasible.

The weather...gotta get that tan when I can

Boca Raton

Yes, entire pandemic. Last job was locally based and current role is still WFH. Also hot take, but Miami doesn’t have the most attractive women in Florida (I’ve lived in various cities here on both coasts)

Besides, looks are subjective. If you want the blonde, skinny, implants, fit type then Miami is your hot spot. If you want a girl next door… plantation, Fort Lauderdale is more like it. Lol

TikTok or Cepheid Biotech Hey guys, I need to make a decision today on whether I want to start a career as a Talent Sourcer at TikTok or as a Onboarding Specialist at Cepheid, a Biotechnology company. Both in the Bay Area at $35 per hour and both are currently WFH. The TikTok position is less stable and very numbers driven, while the Onboarding position is more “secure” but less exciting. I am overthinking the fact that I would need to be presenting orientations for hours a day, and could be shy

I commenced international remote working to be closer to my friends and family, but now as my team's office is about to reopen, I'm missing the idea of commuting and the sense of community in being part of the 9am rush hour. Are there any other easy ways of building a sense of community? Cheers!

Hey PwC fish 🐠, so…. one of our EY leaders (she who shall not be named) says there’s a devil 😈 hiding in the details aka fine print of your WFH policy, that’s been been spinning great PR for you. She warns it’s not as great as OUR hybrid working policy. Care to ‘splain what the catch is?

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Associate WFH decides they want to spend all of quarantine (6+ months) in another state, and starts working from their “vacation house.” Associate’s home state does not have income tax, vacation state does. Does associate owe income tax in vacation state for income “earned” in the state? Need a refresher on tax law, and I’m curious. Also just want to feel better about actually WFH like I’m supposed to and I don’t have a vacation house.

Interviewed for a role. 4 interviews total. 2/4 interviews went extremely well (Including 1 with hiring manager) . 1/4 I’d consider went fine. 1/4 not great (with the hiring managers manager), lacked confidence in my responses and certain questions I just didn’t have any experience. Pretty much tried to BS an answer. How likely is it that I get the offer if I performed better than other candidates but unimpressed my future bosses boss?

Hi FB family - seeking some help for my soon to be graduating son. He has an interview with capital one. He’s cleared other stages thus far. This last one he’s pretty intimidated by because it includes some type of case interview where the Capital One team will share a pseudo code type case. Anyone know what the format of that interview is? What type of case to expect? Appreciate any guidance on how to prep. Thanks in advance.

Hi moms. What’s the age gap between your kids and how has it worked out in terms of them getting along well and also how has their age gap affected you as a parent (e.g., was a smaller/larger age gap easier/harder for you to manage, etc)? Curious to know everyone’s thoughts. We are thinking a 3 year age gap between our kids but wondering if that’s too much and if they’ll still play/get along not only when they’re young but also when they are older too!
