6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

I’m expecting a child early next year and I’m in the middle of interviewing at some companies I’ve been interested in for a very long time. At what point in the process should or do I have to tell them I’d be taking mat leave soon after I start? I don’t want to be dishonest but getting an offer without this is hard enough I feel like this would be a blocker. They are big enough that it wouldn’t hurt them.
