Hello Fishes, I am new here and would like your inputs on the Grade, Designation & Basic salary in TCS. 1. Is the Grade - 'C3B' & Designation - 'ASC - Associate Consultant' correct for 11 years and 6 months of experience ? 2. And is the Basic salary offered in TCS very less than the Market standard? Thanks in Advance 🙏🏼

Hi Applied to PwC Strategy& for a consultant role and havent heard back from a recuiter however, I received an email for a survey asking what am I looking for in the company in terms of their culture, values etc and what other companies I have applied to. Is this a typical process? Not sure if thats the step 1 in the process or I have been rejected. Any feed back is appreciated. I am graduating from Ohio State with an MBA and have 8 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance.

I’ve been with the firm for almost a year - zero regrets. Let me know if you want to know more.
Absolutely. I’m seeing parts of accounting that I never got the chance to see as an auditor. The variety of work, and the fact that you get thrown into a situation and just kind of have to figure it out, have helped me grow in a huge way. And exit opportunities are great, whether you’re going into industry or back into audit. I’ll probably go industry next but I now have a better idea of what I would/wouldn’t want in an industry role.
I started at Siegfried two years ago and it’s been great! Great pay and many different bonuses you could make. A lot of fun events before COVID — local networking events/happy hour, annual leadership development training (held in major cities or resorts), and multi-day firm-wide event in Vegas every other year. Work depends on the client; some are more organized and easier to work with than others. Hours also depend on the client but you’ll get compensated for OT in the form of a production bonus. I like it because I was able to get exposure to different clients on the day-to-day accounting side (not as an auditor) and it’s surprising how things could be run very differently at each client, even among big public companies. It helps me figure out what kind of corporate environment and type of work is the best fit for me if I decide to leave professional services and take a typical industry job one day.
Not really. There are colleagues that I’m closed with told me they consider themselves introverts, but they get along with everyone pretty well and enjoy being at the firm. We do have a lot of social events (with free food and drinks) and they’re optional, but it’s suggested that you attend at least some of them. You can bring friends to the networking events so it’s not like you have to be meeting/talking to new people the whole night. If you’re into playing sports or group workout classes we sometimes have those events as well — it depends on the local office. Everyone I’ve met at the firm is very nice and chill, so it’s pretty easy to bound with people. Every office could have a slightly different vibe, so I’d recommend asking someone from the office location you’re interested in to get more insights. I’d definitely recommend making some friends at the new hire training and other out-of-town training or events. The firm pays for group tickets to shows and/or tours on these trips and you’ll also have some free time to plan other things with your friends/colleagues. These trips are always super fun and the best time to bound with other colleagues
Don’t they have the tigers?
The same Siegfried? Or just a pun joke?
I heard they pay you just to come in and interview. But in all seriousness I thought about it but asked around and heard that sometimes they staff people on big four busy seasons.... idk how true that is but just look into it bc after hearing that I was put off
You don’t - it’s recommended but not required.
A lot of my friends went there. They like it. Although I agree with the above it certainly seems like a lifestyle. The people I know who work there aren’t really tied to a certain place (family, pets, significant other, etc) and love traveling and meeting new people
Are all the bad reviews for audit employees? I'm considering applying for an advisory role and i'm not sure what to think based on all the mixed reviews that most likely have to do with audit

A buddy of mine did very well there. Though you spend your first busy season basically farmed out to EY from what i understand.
Where is your buddy now and did they have growth?

Hmmmm Siegfried is a lifestyle
I believe they recently let go of a lot of people around 10/20% of people due to covid. So just be wary. Also are they hiring that would be surprising?
The referral bonus is not that high and it’s less than what they’d have to pay to a recruiter for each hire. But there’s no limit to how much you could make from referrals so if you land a few hires it’s a lot of money
