I fucking hate the expectation that "men must provide" or "women must act a certain way". That's damaging to a lot of relationships. I love division of labor and working with each other's strengths and weaknesses without so much emphasis on gender roles. I'm a big supporter of utilitarian relationship that strives for the good of the partnership and each party.
ISO tips on not thinking about salary/promotions/comparing myself to others at work. I’m pretty junior and feel like it is getting in the way of my productivity and I just feel crummy doing it.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
How do you handle a step child who is 23yo (doesn’t live in your house) and is chooses to not get vaccinated when they give their too young to be vaccinated siblings covid? Currently quarantined with a 3yo who tested positive. Certain my 1yo will too. Can I help a person in this age group see the impact that their decision has on the people who can’t get vaccinated? As a step mom, what boundaries am I allowed to set to ensure that this doesn’t happen again? Ultimatum or is this “not my place”?
I will be joining EY India by next week, just need few suggestions. EY have offered me almost 225% hike on my current CTC but all is in fixed part no Variable or joining bonus they are ready to pay. Resume gap: My position will be abruptly end in December (was informed this week). However, I won't be interview ready in the next 2 weeks. So how bad does a gap of 1-2 months appear to tech recruiters? Common knowledge is it is a disadvantage to the candidate from a salary negotiation process. I'm also told hiring decisions at places like AWS & GCP take time and it might be a few months before an offer letter is received.
By close of eyes is not a reasonable time for any deliverable to be due. You work from home not 24/7. Let’s normalize standard working hours; if work isn’t done within eight to nine hours in day then it’s time for evaluate systems, if all those Zoom calls were necessary and staff utilization.
20 weeks pregnant, will be taking 6 months maternity leave but do not want to travel after that. How is Deloitte consulting in supporting remote work?
Opinion: What are the best cities [not necessarily states] to be a teacher? Looking at factors like salary, cost of living, activities for families, benefits, diversity, training, etc...
If I have between 4-6 years of media buying experience and am also doing paid search, I am Google Certified. What should my salary be? With so much remote work happening right now should we be still allowing employers to use the excuse of average salary for your location?
Hello, I'm working as a senior in Europe and considering doing a secondment for 2 years in the US. Do you think it's worth it to do the CPA if I might decide to remain in the US? I'm currently doing the ACCA, but not sure how easy/hard does it stack up agains the CPA. Also can you tell me when are the exam windows and how the retakes work? Thanks!

Why is leaving for Microsoft not seen as good as FAANG? I’d argue Microsoft is probably better than Netflix at the minimum
When will American stop the “limited time”in-flight credit card promotion......it make me irrationally angry and I find it rude to disrupt passengers with this ad. Am I crazy?
I have a technical interview coming up for strategy and analytics role at a b2b SaaS company (I.e. hubspot). Can anyone help me brainstorm what I should anticipate for excel, sql, and tableau. It’s been a little over a year since I used any of those programs aggressively
Who should I trade for? 12 team standard league. Feel like I have too much depth on the bench (Elijah Mitchell, Julio, diante Johnson, devonta smith) to not make a trade. I’m thinking I would probably be open to trading for a top tier wr, Rb, or tight end. Or even consider trading for a middle of the pack tight end.
Got reached out to by a recruiter at McMaster-Carr. Looks concerning from online reviews, but comp package appears to be amazing. Is the horrible culture just for management trainee program? I would not be going into that. How are other groups around the company? Also interested in hear total comp for folks with ~1 year experience if possible. Thanks!
