Anyone works with a trainer at their gym? I've never been to a gym and thinking if this helps?

I used to. It definitely helped me get into a routine and make sure I was doing the exercises correctly. In the end, it just got too expensive.

Yes if you pay.. it helps gym trainer, gym owner and everyone who works there.. that's what happens most of the time.. we pay but never go to gym.. but if you really motivated then yes gym really helps and having a trainer certainly will..

For the first 3 months I would highly suggest to have a trainer. They help you in understanding the correct body posture and form for each and every exercise. Post that, you can take a call whether you are comfortable working out without the trainer's guidance and it fits your budget 😊

I used to have one and I loved it. I felt like I learned a lot about what exercises to do and how to do them correctly. Having someone holding me accountable also helps me actually show up and put the work in every time.

Not for me. I don't like being told what to do 😅

Definitely at least in the beginning. they can help you learn what exercises are best and how to do them properly for the best result and with the least likelihood of injury.

I got one in the beginning - it's helpful for building habits + understanding form etc. I didn't end up sticking with it because I felt like I was more confident, but I do an occasional session just to make sure I'm still at a good level

Do people stay more disciplined when there is a trainer helping them out?

I am new to consulting, and I just witnessed (virtually) a staffing conversation between a Partner and Director that a new project was to be staffed based first by identifying how to meet a quota for “diversity consultants” first.
