Hey Googlers. Currently going through the interview process and got there via referral. Im just curious how serious the actual referral is taken when considering someone for a job/interview? For example at B4 a referral just gets you a look at HR and the text of the referral and who it’s from doesn’t matter at all, it’s more of a checking a box exercise to get HRs attention. Is it the same at Google or is it more significant?
I have got two offers guys : 1. Kpmg - consultant - 17 fixed 2. Nagarro - team lead - 22 fixed Which company to join , can kpmg negotiate and make it 22l? YOE - 7 Role - PMO Pleas help
Had a final round for a role two years ago, but I didn’t get it because the other person had more YOE. Now team is hiring for the same role again due to promotion; how should I reach out to the SVP who interviewed me? (interview went well, but I haven’t reached out to them since the interview)
Deciding on 2 B4 offers, how do I tell the one I’m not taking? Email each person I interviewed with? Just the HR lady? Don’t want to burn bridges and have never been in this position before
what do you think is the most difficult type of role for an analyst to grasp without experience?
Does anybody do a “work uniform” in the office? I’m new in an in-house role at a company that has dress for your day (primarily jeans), and I’m thinking about doing that when we go back (1-2 days a week). I need to buy new clothes post-covid anyways. I’m thinking some casual, but quality, plain black dresses that I can wear a sweater, jacket, blazer (when necessary), shirt, etc. over. Could dress up or down with shoes. Thoughts?
I got recruited for an in house position...3 months pregnant. I know I am not guaranteed parental leave, what are the pros/cons of telling the interviewer about my condition?
If anyone is interested in getting their foot in the door into product management, a colleague of mine is hiring at a small healthcare predictive data analytics company. The role would be fully remote. Please DM if interested for the referral. https://jobs.silkroad.com/CarewiseHealth/Certilytics/jobs/241
Sorry for the repost, didn’t know about this bowl until now! Currently a senior consultant with 5 YOE in consulting, and I’m interested in joining a start up or mid-sized company with a focus on strategic growth and innovation, what are appropriate exit opportunity roles to look into?
Anyone at McKinsey & Company care to share any insight into the McKinsey Associate - Transformation role? I am very interested in the role and have the 3+ years of restructuring experience and 2 years of corporate experience.
Do any of the MBBs consult for FAANG or top tech companies? Or do all those companies exclusively use in house strategy teams? If any MBB does, a referral would be much appreciated
Working with an (external) headhunter for a role, and just found out they want me to proceed to the second round of interviews. I had told the headhunter after the first round that I was interested in moving forward (although I did express some concerns I had) but after thinking about it, I’ve decided I’m not interested in the role. Does it look bad to go back on my word and drop out of the process now?
Hi Guys, Can you please refer me for the role of Python/PySpark developer if you have vacancies in your organization.
Should I reach out to the recruiter for the final offer? I got an email from recruiter last week saying they would like to initiate the offer process and asked my salary expectation. I replied with my answers but haven’t heard back since then. Should I reach out? Or that might impact my negotiating position for pay.
An ex colleague has reached out to me for a role that seems quite exciting only issue is I’d be reporting directly to him (cont..)
Interested to hear any success stories about M&A attorneys at middle market firms (firm is 600+ but is regional and only does middle market transactions) and from an unranked law school finding an M&A in house role. I want to go in house but can’t fathom doing commercial transactions for the rest of my career but M&A in house gigs for obvious reasons tend to be at Fortune 500 companies that almost always require top credentials. Should I give up? Is my resume just going to the shredder?
I work for one of the big 4 consulting firms in technology. Has anyone heard of ALKU consulting? Got a call from them for job opening. Wanted to get some information before moving forward.
More than likely receiving an offer for a more technical position than I’d like in my career. In short, I think it pigeonholes me into a role I’m not comfortable with and have little interest for. How do I politely reject the offer when it comes through?
Any Deloitte fish willing to make a referral for GPS roles? I have IDed a few open reqs I’m interested in, and would also love to be tossed into the “general referrals” pile.
How is the financial services consulting different across MBB? In terms of service offerings, areas of focus, culture

Can we use diners club card for airport lounge access during PTO travel ? Recently I was charged 30$ on it and not sure if I can reimburse it as I am not aware about the code.

With bonus, SDRs can get up to $150k. Most land in the ~$120k area. Trajectory: SDRs should expect to stay in the role for 1-2 years then graduate to our “Middle market sales team”
for federal projects that cap you at 40/week, do the leadership ever take this into account how it effects your utilization?
This girl is the same age as me, makes over double what I do and went to a state school and majored in gender studies. So much for working hard in school and getting an in demand STEM degree 😅 FAANG or bust. https://youtu.be/KrB9iSd38LA
Would you confront a senior leader on inappropriate behaviour yourself (remarks about gender and race) or would prefer your coach to do that? What would be the merits / consideration that you should factor in?
American conservatism has become such a joke. 95% of Fox News is now: 1. Anti vax nonsense 2. Hunter Biden conspiracies 3. Boogiemen claims about "socialism" and "cancel culture"
Applied for an SM position at pwc and interviewers mentioned that it is for an SM position as well. But the offer came out as M. Recruiter said it is just a title and doesn’t have any implications but more I look, it does look like an downgrade. Is this common? I am currently an SM and it is in tech consulting area.
What is the legal ratio of adults:students in an ECSE inclusion setting? In a reverse mainstream setting? Are Title I PreK classrooms required to have a para and teacher? What is the ratio for that? What is the legal ratio of adults:students in a mixed 4 y/o PreK setting? (#___ SPED+ #___regular=1 teacher and ____paras) Specifically in Louisiana, but curious about other states, as well!
Best excuses to step away for an hour for a job interview? Manager is very hands on I’m trying to interview at 5/6 places at once to get out of B4 as fast as possible/evaluate options and there’s only so many doctors appointments you can have in a week lol
Any CBS ED applicants heard back on interviews / rejections? What does the average timeline of response look like?
Hi 🐠! My firm is willing to file an EB3 GC for me, however I’m from a highly backlogged country and was wondering what’s the realistic timeline for it from start to finish? The process seems to be stressful, to say the least. Alternatively, I have the ability to venture out into Canada (as I’m yet to pursue my MBA, after which I plan on pivoting into a diff. industry). What would you do?
Anyone her who can refer me for an DE(Data Engineer) role at Apple. Job req looks like a good fit for me.
Anyone have insight into salary at Charles River Associates? Associate level, thanks in advance!
K so I genuinely don’t know what to do? I’m vaccinated, I totally get that delta is bad but also vaccines are helping? I’ve been so careful so far so do I just continue masking up? Just booked my first international travel in 2 years and unsure of the right steps.
