I have got a offer from JP Morgan, I had asked them for joining bonus which they declined but have told me they would pay me my annual bonus(pre defined in current organization) in January as incentive along with rest of organization. They have declined to give this in writing anywhere and have asked to have faith in verbal commitment. Is this a normal practice?

I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

I got licensed in 2018 and started working for a firm in DC while commuting from Baltimore because of the pay. I hated the job/firm and am obviously in Baltimore now, albeit with a significant pay cut, but the lifestyle/job satisfaction is awesome. There’s not a gargantuan BigLaw presence in/around Baltimore to really skew salary averages, so I’ve been curious as to what types of salary ranges there are around here for junior/senior associates, partners, etc.?

Does anyone have suggestions on how to improve a legal blog? My firm has one but it doesn’t get very much traffic and people aren’t very motivated to write posts on a regular basis.

Last communication was one month back with HR partner who called me to confirm if I would join or not. Is it normal ? Should I reach out to someone ?
