Can AI “pls fix. thanx”? I don’t think so.

Ha ha ha!! Thanks for the good laugh. If only technology was that good today.

Also you've clearly never experienced the hell that is a corrupted document.
But how will meet my billable reqs if I can’t spend three hours reviewing blurred, 12-year-old scans of terms and conditions sheets for CoC provisions?
Did you log into your associate burner account, partner?

It's not what they want or need, it's what their old timer ego tells them. Many suffer from delusions such as - new technology allows associates to proof read whole briefs with a click of a button but the new generation is so lazy that they refuse to do it out of spite!
I had this thought when I first began doing doc review. I don’t think it’s true as it stands with tech. I reviewed a few docs that ended up being massively important. They needed a human eye to see and Uncode, you can’t give an algorithm enough data to be able to replicate that find (unless that data happened to be millions of inputs of this particular type of thing)

We have an ediscovery practice group that uses tech to reduce doc review. It's not nearly as effective as people think it is. Basically reducing the review set by 20% is considered a good result.
I don’t agree with that statement because I’ve seen a lot of ambitious software failing. I agree with that statement because I’ve seen Junior associate work lol. But really, there are a lot of small tasks that law firms for some reason refuse to automate, especially in document drafting.

Damn, OP is a genius. Why didn’t anyone else ever think of this? 🤔

Yeah, that is… not accurate. People vastly overstated the “intelligence” part of AI.
