I’m a new tax manager with a degree in accounting and management from a top b-school. I haven’t liked me job for a solid 3 years and really only stay in it for because I’m very good with clients and love working with them. Other than that I don’t like how technical my job is and busy season takes a toll on me. Any ideas for paths I could take to get out of this and still have the client aspect without 3.5 months of 70+ hour work weeks?

Today I found out I have been diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, HS for short and I’m emotional about it😪. From a pre teen age My body and I knew something was wrong. To experience unbearable pain with a boil sometimes the size of a golf ball I never understood why it all happen until today as a twenty-something year old.

I have a phobia of deep water and of driving. Not sure if they are related, but I think it’s related to not trusting myself...like I don’t trust my body to save myself if I’m drowning and I don’t trust myself to not make a mistake while driving. I have taken swim lessons and I know how to swim/float and I have my driver’s license. I live in NYC so I haven’t had to drive much but recently I’ve had to drive and it’s a nerve-racking experience. I had to drive on the highway and it was scary!

Feel like a high performance always leads P and Dir to pull you on to the next thing. Did one project outside my wheelhouse and immediately become the point person for it. Helped sell one project and “need” to stay on for support despite also helping staff the team fully. Always hit up to build practice capability. Random reach outs “hey got your name” from so and so and they said you’d be able to help.
