Huh? This is a weird thought experiment?
No difference other than if you choose Marriott you get to keep your number; if you choose SPG you get a new number
I assumed OP meant which account to choose when merging your SPG/Marriott accounts
I chose Marriott so I could keep my number :) no difference other than that
This may not make sense to some, but I am always on the “Acquirer” side ;) which is Mariott .. seems like a “stronger” side .. although yes in practical terms there is no difference, other then what number you get to keep / what new number you will get
Even though I was Starwood Platinum for Life, I started the merger using my Marriott number as I figured it ultimately will be the master system and might not have as many data issues...and went smoothly but YMMV
TSC1 - yes, that’s right!
Was wondering if there was any advantage to choosing one over the other?
