For those who were diagnosed as an adult can you provide some insight into how you were able to obtain a diagnosis. I went to my primary care dr who referred me to another dr who specialized in mental health. He asked me about 5 questions before telling me I should see a neuropsychologist for an official assessment. The referral he gave me is super pricey and apparently isn’t covered by insurance. Is that normal?

I’ve been double dipping. Sometimes triple dipping during this pandemic while working the whole time remotely. I attend a few meetings but decline the majority. It’s busy, but it is possible. 

It tells me a few things: our pre-pandemic jobs were filled with lots of unnecessary meetings and busy work. Workers can be very productive and produce solid work if we are briefed well. One employer shouldn’t and doesn’t deserve all our time if we are excited to work. Trusting clients are fucking gold.

What should the reaction be if the vaccines end up only being reasonably effective. Say we end up with a going forward rate of 100,000 dead per year. Or 50,000. Is there a point at which you say you were willing to take the risk and move back to a normal life (gatherings, restaurants, travel, etc.)? Recognizing they lockdowns can temporarily reduce counts, but not eliminate the disease.

So - we are doing remote school but schools have been open in NJ for in-person instruction as well. My kids’ school is actually pretty awesome in the arrangements they do for remote learning. But even they are closed already for 2 weeks as 3 kids tested positive !!! So much for freedom.
