I'm new here.

I had an interview in LTI for a .Net Developer position. There were 2 technical rounds and I got selected. I received an email from the recruiter to submit the documents and EAF. I had submitted the requested documents the same day. The recruiter told me that she will schedule the HR round.

I was following up with her, and after a month she messaged me on WhatsApp and said, the HR round can't be scheduled because my expected CTC is her maximum budget. Seriously 😳

I am currently interviewing for a management position, this will be the first management position I hold. I hold a masters degree and about 7 years experience in the business. Any advice on how to show I am ready/can handle this position? The only qualification from the job description I don’t hold is the management part.

I switched two years ago from regional real estate/energy to a local small, but established residential real estate practice. While I’ve gained so much practical experience and run my own book here, I want to shift to a non-traditional remote role in real estate but keep getting turned down. Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Why would the staffing agency (who got me my current job) be reaching out to me after a year? A little back story, I got my foot in the door at my company through a staffing agency. It was a freelance to permanent role. If they ended up liking me, I would become a perm employee. They liked me after ONLY a month and I was permanently hired. My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?

Remote Onboarding question: I joined my company a little over two months ago, and I’m in a remote role. This is my first time onboarding remotely as I started at my last company pre-pandemic. Honestly, I’ve found it lonely so far. I’ve been trying to be outgoing and meet with everyone I can, but it so far feels like I have not been included as a full member of the team. Any advice on how to approach relationship-building? Any secrets to unlocking remote onboarding?

In-house counsel - would you prefer working at a big company specializing in a field of law, eg, privacy, IP, employment, etc, or a small company being a general counsel? Assume the small company has a higher risk of going under compared to the big company, but higher reward (via stock), and the large company pays a healthier salary.

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

Doing a remote interview tomorrow for an in-house position that I really want. Invite says "[company] is a startup, so a full suit is not necessary! Business casual attire is recommended." Like I said, I really want this job, and the idea of not wearing a suit is just weird to me

Should I still wear the suit or would it be counter productive?
