Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)

How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

I love that you knew what I was going to say before I finished saying it ❤️
I would. You wouldn’t believe how much pull employees have even if they don’t have direct hiring permissions. Just one good reference will make a huge difference. There are agencies who won’t even consider applicants who don’t have an internal reference. I would do it. Worst case scenario they say no.
@OP “Wanted to reach out and introduce myself, I noticed that X Agency is hiring for a CW, and I’d love to chat with you and see if you have any insight, as I noticed you’re currently working on X account.” Something like that
It’s hard to find the right person. If it’s you, they’re going to be happy. If it’s not you, no harm done. But it’s like approaching someone in a bar- don’t be creepy.
(2/2) my question is if it would be a bad idea to reach out to the Art Director to try and meet for coffee or something? The AD clearly doesn’t have any power to hire me but I’m wondering if this would be another valid way to get my foot in the door? Or would it be perceived as going behind the employer’s back...
I understand, but if you have someone in common, you could ask for an introduction. That may help a little bit.
