If you are an SM at EY or Deloitte, you should target for Director at PwC. SM is a new role that is more of a high manager - low SM when compared to other firms. Don’t fall for the HR scam. If you come in as M, you will need to build a case to get promoted to SM, and another one to get promoted to Director.

Recruiter is wrong. However, where you are currently an SM could make a difference though because of the size of projects, teams, responsibilities, metrics etc.

Yeah forget that. I applied for an AD job, recruiter sent me SM roles to consider. Then when I explained my salary requirements she was like oh yeah that's AD. In the end I landed an AD role elsewhere. If it's just a title, then get the SM one lol. It will be a harder on you for your next jump if you have M on your resume instead of SM.

Not true, don’t fall for it

What’s the offer?

Thanks for the replies. I am just making sure that it isn’t something like pwc doesn’t have SM title or something.

Nah.. usually it’s because the hiring firm thinks they’re better than wherever a recruit comes from and should downgrade them. Plus if they get you at a lower level delivering higher level work it’s a better margin for them for longer.

Wait, did the Recruiter actually say that? That's hilarious!

Can’t recall the last time dealing with a competent recruiter

AWS-SAA question (newbie): I know AWS account is a root account & by default gives user access/permissions to all the AWS services. You need to have an aws account first to then create IAM users to define who they are, permission groups they’re in, and the level of access/permissions they have to a bucket/object for example. So....when the IAM users are added, do they receive a notification with the url to access the environment? Do they need an aws account as well? Confused on difference
