Applied for associate Product Manager role in HSBC GSC. Round one completed. it's been 3 weeks after that,i didn't recieve rejection mail either. Should I wait or move on

In the past month, I have gone through 7 interviews at a start up company, including the CEO, who wanted to talk “as soon as possible”.
Kept mentioning my “impressive resume” & “great accomplishments”, & I got the feeling he felt I was overqualified. The kicker was when he said “you realize this is an individual contributor” after I said I knew this job was to build out a function not currently anywhere in the company. Radio silence since.

Do I call the hiring Mgr & put her feet to the fire?

Did not receive a thank you note from potential candidate - what do we think?

Interviewed with a tech company and did the take home test. The interviewer said and I quote "you did phenomenal in testing, however, we decided to pause this position for the time being." That seems to be a trend. How do I identify these problems within the interview process and keep from wasting my time? It is frustrating, to say the least.

Why are average salaries in UK and EU looks much less compared to US for similar role, even with higher tax rates? Is it factoring in benefits such as free healthcare, education etc? Or is it just a matter of demand/supply?

Starting a new job tomorrow. Right after I accepted the offer I actually found out through one of my referrals that the manager that I interviewed with got moved to another team.
