I got laid off during the beginning of the pandemic. Since then I’ve been struggling with drug use and finances. Deloitte hired me out grad school. I’ve been unable to find a job in IT Controls. Any help? I did IT Controls Audit Readiness for a couple years. The market is so niche and being black makes it twice as hard to find work. I really need some help landing a new role folks. I’m 22 days clean!

Is strategy consulting really that great or is implementation the place to be? I know MBB is trying to move into implementation so is it useless trying to stick to strategy or should I prepare myself for the future by doing delivery?
I was doing real consulting work for a Wealth Management tech firm and took a job at another tech firm for twice the money. They hired me to the Org because they wanted to stand up a new team that actually worked with customers and consulted for new opportunities. The current Org's 'consulting' title is really glorified onboarding. The point in hiring me was to help with enablement, and eventually manage a team. Con't

Worked within strategy across different industries at a big 4 for almost 7 years and looking to exit to industry. Anyone willing to refer at their firm?
Are there industry jobs (PE, HF, etc.) where I would still work similarly as hard as B4, but get paid commensurately? e.g. instead of a standard 9-5 industry getting 100k, 9-7 industry getting 120k
My client has an opening that I'm really interested in. But we work with their team (internal audit) It's gonna be awkward either I get the job or not. 😢

I had an interview with PepsiCo. I was looking for 140 to 150 salary and they said they could only do 112k. It’s a lot of money to leave on the table. I told them I don’t wanna continue with the process mainly cause I don’t wanna waste their/my time. Do other 🐠 s continue with the interview process in hopes of convincing the hiring team to offer you more money because they really like you?
Since we're all talking money, I just got my first raise ever and I'm feeling stoked. 🤗 My loans may still have me broke as a joke, but at least I'm feeling valued! ☀️
I think I’m weird. I have long long working hours, and after work I take my own time to relax - watch Netflix, use social Media, etc etc. And when after all this I go to bed, when there are now only a few hours left to sleep, i don’t want to sleep... I feel why do I need to sleep, I mean just get the next day started already. Is it just me or anyone else feel me ? P.S. I sleep somewhere between 4-7 hours everyday.
I graduated with a marketing degree and had to take a job that could sponsor my visa. Now I'm 25 and thinking to go to portfolio school for AD. Any recommendations? Or career advice?

Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Currently in Sales Ops, previously a BDR at smaller company. 2 YOE. I'm thinking about switching over to consulting. I want to go back to client facing but at a strategic level without focusing too much on selling. Any advice? Referrals? I'm within healthcare.
