P2 the type to not let their kid have a piece of cake on their birthday and say it will only rot your teeth

like

Jeez @P2, did you enjoy letting people down when you worked there, too?

like

P2 probably crackled as admissions get denied

like

I'd be more worried about a potential conflict of interest for the university in that they may not admit you because you were there working as a consultant ... Just something to think about.

like

Yeah, no, don't get too excited. I used to work in admissions, and no amount of "good words" do folks any good unless they have big donor families. Sorry OP!

If this university is near hahvahd yahd you have it made, son!

I smell some haterade on this post

I feel the people hating on p2 are more guilty of what they're accusing p2 of.

P2 is right. I used to think the admissions process at major universities is meritocratic. It is not. Someone from Yale told me profs get their high-school kids to collaborate on publications with distinguished profs to give their kids an advantage in college admissions.

Client asks us to design a poster for an IMAX movie that features how blockbuster movies are made. One of the key features in the movie is King Kong so we featured it prominently on the poster as well. Ad agency designer desperately looking for an out but I have a possible new job opportunity. Here is my dilemma: Pros.... more money, no crazy client demands, pitches or decks or even prospective clients that will go nowhere (in-house), better benefits Cons.... this is a big one - it’s healthcare I’ve been at agencies with a range of clients for the past few years. Career suicide taking an in-house healthcare job? Especially if role focuses more on growth & performance over design?
