I got offer from Deloitte 15LPA fixed + 10% variable bonus(CTC 16.5LPA)+ 4 lacs joining bonus with 18 months bond and additional benefits from Deloitte as Consultant.

YoE:4.3 years
Tech stack: NodeJs developer

Second offer from ITC Infotech of 19LPA fixed + 1 lacs variable for similar role.

Please help me choose. What are the pros and cons? For long term, which is better? Inhand salary comparison?

Doing a remote interview tomorrow for an in-house position that I really want. Invite says "[company] is a startup, so a full suit is not necessary! Business casual attire is recommended." Like I said, I really want this job, and the idea of not wearing a suit is just weird to me

Should I still wear the suit or would it be counter productive?

Question for in-house funds attorneys: How do you track and implement LP side letter requests? What system do you have in place to make sure that they don't slip through the cracks and the right team takes ownership?

My co-worker is so resentful and competitive because I was promoted over her last year which caused a demotion on her end. People in the company still go to her for things that should be for me but she rarely corrects them. Shes still involved in the company too in a way that allows her to know secrets that I should know about but never do. I technically am above her within the company but this is how things are. I just do my job and try to not let it bother me but it does. Any suggestions?

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

Seeking a data privacy/cyber security role in-house. I live in the metro DC area.

Any in-house attorneys at a PE/VC fund that can provide insight into how carried interest works? It seems like a bit of a black box and specific to a given fund, but even a description of the low level mechanics (vesting, relative %, etc) would be super helpful!

What is the job market looking like these days for an in-house attorney with 10+ YOE (especially if fully remote)? I took an AGC job almost a year ago for a multitude of reasons that I did not have a choice in, but my base salary is at least 60-80K less than it should be and the benefits are lacking/nonexistent. I really like my boss, my company, I love what I do, and I don’t want to job hop, but the pay is not ever going to be what I need (especially in comparison to the job duties).

Transitioning from junior in house at a very small company where I only did small easy contract review to a large multinational corporation in a few weeks, and have those weeks off. Does anyone have any book recommendations I can read until then that actually offer good insight and helpful tips?!

I didn’t learn that much on the business side and I love reading, so seems like a good idea to relax while also preparing a bit.

How has COVID affected your workload, if at all? My group has a lot more work to do, and less resources with which to do it. But I don't worry about layoffs, so overall I'm happy to be where I am.

Looking for advice on dealing with a boss who is extremely difficult to work for. For example, my colleague has worked entirely remotely since COVID hit in March. She had planned to make 2 trips out to her family out of state during the holidays (for Thanksgiving & Christmas) but recently requested to stay during the interim, when it looked like her apartment might be under voluntary evacuation due to wildfires.
