Applying for MBA programs in Fall 2021. When I matriculate I’ll have 7 years of healthcare consulting experience. Will this give me a competitive advantage when I apply and will I be among the oldest students by far?

I was 34 when I graduated with my MBA. I had an offer from almost every company I interviewed with. I think the experience helps you sound more impactful during the interviews. Don’t worry about being one of the older ones, I was and it worked out great. A neighbor just started his at 41 and another finished in his late 30s. All good my friend

I was an evening MBA student. So regular MBA spread over 3 years. The full time MBAs didn’t like us because we got all the job offers. I think the extra experience helped. Gotta do what’s right for your situation. I couldn’t give up 100k+ a year to shave off one year of school for the same education and degree.

Yes. You use to be there norm if not low on experience. I feel like the strength of an MBA has been watered down due to the number of people who get one with little or no industry experience.

A1 up until the 90s it was common to go with 2 YOE. Look up the bio of basically any exec in a F100 that isn't tech lol. Progression back then was much quicker, 2 years of analyst experience, MBA, Director.

You’ll certainly be an attractive candidate based on YoE, provided they’re relevant to the role. You may also be disappointed that you’re competing for roles that seem junior / comp below expectations.

1. Depends on how well you incorporate that Datapoint into your story. 2. You will be in the upper quartile for age, but certainly not an outlier. No one will care, or even realize.

I had 9 years of experience in healthcare (not consulting) when I joined. Positioned me extremely well to get healthcare related offers.

Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

I quite literally know nothing about these types of payouts and the rules associated with them.

All signs point to a positive performance review so far and my manager has even brought up the very likely possibility of a promotion within the next six weeks. Will accepting a promotion and then potentially leaving weeks after hurt my resume and burn bridges? Any advice?
