I have an interview with them for an associate manager role but they're saying starting salary is 75K which is fairly low for a role that requires 5+ years of experience and reports directly to the AVP, any idea what I could potentially negotiate to? Also what's the hybrid work policy at CTC and any idea on potential changes to it?

I received an offer from Google and I’m quite disappointed about the compensation. I applied for a Program Manager position at Google Cloud located in Waterloo. i’m currently up for promotion this quarter and am projected to make $132K . Google offered me a TC that is below this. I have 3 YOE. I would appreciate all your help and input to negotiate this offer as I’m super interested in working for Google.

Google’s offer: Base = 92K, Equity = 56K, Bonus= 15% of base. L3.

Thoughts on this offer? $145K base + 10% bonus + $5K signing (TC year 1: $165K). No stock. No RRSP matching. Role is BizOps Senior Manager (IC). Industry is Insurance. Is it too low? Thanks.

Why is it recommended you give a company 2 weeks notice when you are leaving but at the same time, when they are laying you off/firing you, they typically do it on the spot. I have known countless people layed off/fired on the spot over the years (especially after busy season) and everyone else when they leave give 2 week notice. Why should we relinquish power to corporations? Corporations really don't care about us. They pretend they do.

I've been asked to walk through a financial model I built as part of case study round for an Infrastructure investor. The model works fine for the inputs they provided but would get stuck when any input in the model is changed and I'm afraid the interviewer has figured that already and will specifically ask what's wrong.

Transition to Consulting? Going to have 2-3 competing jobs offers that I need to make a decision by the end of the week on.

I am 3 years out of school with a Bch of ChemEng. I have found myself in the Clinical Trial Supply space as a Systems Analyst.

I can either stay in Big Pharma (probably for most $, suburbs) and expand past just Systems expertise or go into Life Science Consulting (get to work in NYC) and broaden my LS base.

If I don’t do consulting now will it hurt me in the future?

I’m in Tax, and will finish my CPA hopefully by the end of the year (2/4 passed). I’m 31, 5 years of exp in PA, 2 at B4; and I want out. I’m looking to move into the finance world. Equity analysis looks really interesting to me, how can I break into this field? Do I go get an MBA? Do I just start writing analysis on a blog and hope someone likes what I have to say? Any suggestions would be great. Also, how are the hours?

Wondering what people think of the career upside of getting into fintech acct mgmt. Currently on 180 TC (all cash) in nyc as a c-suite recruiter (6 yoe) but feeling a bit burnt out on it. Pre ipo fintech company offering 160 TC with some equity. Interested in a transition but not sure what the long term career upside is for a saas account manager for one of these types of firms? Doesn’t seem like a massively high ceiling given the step back on cash?
