Does anyone else have a mental health diagnosis they don’t want anyone at work to know about/do not want any accommodations for? I have Bipolar I Disorder and have been diagnosed since undergrad. I made it through law school, the bar, etc. just working around my depression and mania. I’ve been steady on my medications for two years now so the highs and lows aren’t nearly as severe, but I still notice they affect my work here and there. Any tips on how to handle it without accommodations?

Does a change of scenery help? Switching firms in a week and my motivation for the past 6 months has been awful to say the least. The last two months my hours have been down (due to slowdown in May and turning work down in June). I thought this hour break would help my drive but I still feel like I am languishing. Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.

Corporate suggested me for a DON position in TX. I currently live in SD and work as ADON. Corporate said minimum salary would be 115k. Then flew me there for 2 weeks to see the building (nursing home). They all loved me, as does corporate. But my offer today was 90k. When I said I was told 115k they countered with 100k. I said I’d think about it over the weekend but really am looking for at least 110k. Have to sell my house and move and rebuy w higher interest rates. What do you think??

I’m Have been an RN for three years. I have worked in the prison system for over two years. I recently applied and was offered a job in the ICU/CCU. Which I would love to try this new adventure. I like to look at pros and cons. Pros of the Prison my boss recognizes my hard work, I have great pay, and a great schedule. Cons-there is at times unequal distribution of duties, some bad attitudes with some of the staff. PPE is not always easy access, who knows who. What’s your thoughts?
