Are agencies asking to complete a task when interviewing a no go?

Ugh, I am four business days past my loop interview and tomorrow is five, which is their maximum number of days they said they would take to make a decision. I’m trying to be optimistic, like, if they unanimously didn’t want me they probably would have told me sooner. But who knows?! The waiting is the worst part, knowing if the time investment into interview prep was actually worth it.

PE case study - I have 4 days to complete. Was given two CIMs to choose from and making investment recommendation. For modelling, are they expecting me to simply use the CIM forecast for LBO analysis? Or should I be doing more work like coming up with drivers that get to the CIM numbers as a base case with ability to flex downside / upside cases?
