Earlier i was hired to work on testing/automation but after joining training was never given on that and they took me in an internal project which i wasn't aware of. After working for more than a year i want to switch to testing, so I requested the same to a higher official. They said we can't switch you to testing as you don't have training but we can take you later on and give you training side by side with your current project. Should I believe them or switch the company. Please help PwC

I have witnessed some and I do start to worry about our “edge” over our adversaries. I worry that some of those in the federal space get too complacent until we get a dose of reality in the future. I also think it’s because so many govies rotate to different jobs they don’t qualify for and just move on to the next one in 2-3 years.
There are a couple that are decent, but case by case…

It’s definitely case by case, sample size is too small
Many have just spent too much time in the government and have any sense of motivation and initiative beaten out of them, and their managers can't easily fire them or discipline them. My last client when I was in federal consulting had great people working there but it was a much more quantitative environment and many folks had impressive backgrounds.
