Are another round of salary increases likely for the big 4?

Why are Deloitte HRs doing candidates so dirty!!! They give all these hopes that you are through the rounds , CTC is sent for approval , will get back to you in a week and then do the infamous Disappearing Act. It will be helpful to the candidates to know a simple Yes or just an email saying “we regret to tell you…” We expect (still unacceptable) this from WITCH companies but what happened to the Big 4

Just received an offer for Sales Consultant at Oracle. Currently doing consulting at a Big 4. Can someone please share the day-to-day of a sales consultant at Oracle? I’ve heard about demoing products for clients, but is that the majority of the work? What technologies are used often? Do sales consultants work a lot of overtime? Is receiving target variable common? Thanks for your help!

Hi fishes, I received an offer from big 4 with 60% hike. My managers wants to retain and I asked them to match if you want me to be retained. Now I got a call from GPM yesterday. He used harsh words like "being greedy" "selfish" etc and offered me 30% in the end. I politely declined but he asked me to reconsider as he said "it would be unfair for the org for you to leave so soon." Let me know a proper response. Also what do you think of this behavior by GPM?

Considering leaving FDD for competitor. Have heard so many things on better culture at mid-tier firms (think RSM BDO) vs. another big 4. Can anybody weigh in? All I know is KPMG FDD culture is definitely not for me.

McKinsey internal offer. Am level before partner at small boutique firm. Work in tiny but hot area (non-strategy). No desire to make partner as I don’t enjoy selling. Fewer YOE than most at my level. Exp mostly at small companies except for a B4/ACN. No MBA, masters from an Ivy but a less competitive program. Offer is similar to other industry offers in the past but haven’t looked recently. Has anyone started their own tax practice and ended up back with a national or Big 4? I like the complex work I do, but I also like the simplicity of simple returns and being able to file them on time and be done with them. In a dilemma of either more stimulating work or easier work o can complete and move on.

I am proposing to leadership that our open requisitions have fully vaccinated requirements for all roles, so that we are hiring vaccinated people into the firm. Is this fair or would it affect talent acquisition negatively?
