Are any public accounting firms hiring associates with only one year experience? 1st yr tax associate let go due to RIF yesterday and I’d like to stay in PA but worried I don’t have much experience under my belt to leverage. Any insight or help is appreciated!

Need advice. Currently work a comfortable job in banking making base of 200k + substantial bonus & finish at 6pm. I dislike my job & have 0 passion. Only do it for money. Discovered I love e-commerce & got offered a senior role at a new D2C Ecom brand, taking a paycut to 130k but with substantial equity. Family & friends are concerned because there’s a good chance of a recession near term. I have never experienced a downturn & not sure if I would be making a mistake by taking the leap! TIA

What does it take to go from mid-level to senior level as an in-house brand designer? I'm just beginning year 4 of being mid-level, with ~5 YOE total. I recently made a lateral role change as the founding member of a design team at a startup, excited to have room to grow. CD was hired and we discussed new roles.. we agreed another mid-level would be great. Now due to some over my head things, the role has changed to senior. I've been clear about my desire for growth.
