Are boat shoes too out of style? Trying to find a less formal alternative to dress shoes for a client that has a casual dress code but leadership still wants us to look presentable

driving mocs or a loafer would be a better choice IMHO

Cole Haan’s Zerøgrand line are great for this IMO, comfort and they can be dressed up (leather variations) or down (knitted, more of a sneaker look)

Both great choices with chinos / jeans

I’d stick with dress shoes, outside of SF I can’t imagine a scenario where someone will think less of you for wearing Allen Edmonds. But if you really want to I’d suggest Chelsea boots.

Boat shoes are never out of style. But always too casual.

Second on the desert boots. Just got a pair of those suede ones from j crew for 40% off

I always thought it was strange that agencies rarely let candidates know the client until they are towards the end of the process. My position has way more job security than others simply because I work for a CPG client. Those in the same role on other accounts (e.g. airlines, hotels, fitness) have been furloughed or even laid off just because of the nature of the industry their client is in. Do we think agencies will have to be more transparent and let candidates ultimately chose the client?

I interviewed for a position remotely 3 weeks ago with the 3 partners of an agency at the same time, and it went well. The CFO then took 30 minutes after the initial hour to talk more and she asked that I reach out to her for more questions as well as to let her know when I have relocated as I told them that I am about to move. After 3 weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR contact and no response all last week. Shall I try contacting the CFO directly since she did ask that I do? Thoughts?
