Bonds lose principle value when rates increase. Bonds are good when rates are high and stable or decreasing. If you want to bet that rates will fall buy long term bonds now.

Bonds have future rate increases priced in. It will depend on whether the future rate increases are more or less than expected.

If you're investing for the long run, equities are still the best. If you need the money in a year or so, ibonds or HYSA are probably your best bet.

Still learning the ins and outs of different investment/retirement accounts and trying to understand Roth contributions/dividends. Is the Roth account the best place to put your dividend paying investments? My understanding is the dividend payments are also tax free if in the Roth. Poke holes in my account allocation/suggest what you would do differently.

Currently I don't have access to HSA. Age 29, income $105k.

Roth retirement assets: $90k
Pretax retirement assets: $104k
Brokerage: $21k
House Equity (primary): $100k
HSA from old employer: $4k
Savings/checkings: $19k
ibonds: $12k

I am not handy in the slightest and turnkey properties for the most part don't make sense in terms of ROI vs alternatives. No debt outside of $128k mortgage.
