Are CHASE RESERVE points best to be used with the chase portal, transfer to a different loyalty program, or redeem cash?

Transferred to a travel partner and then used for relatively affordable long haul flights in business class or better.

Can someone explain how it is more efficient to transfer and redeem? Why do you get a 2.5x?

like

Depends. When you use in portal you get 1.5x redemptive power so generally best on the chase system.

Portal

Book via chase portal

You can get the best value by transferring to partners, but it is a more labor intensive process to find the best deals. I can generally get 2.5 cents/point value through transferring (vs 1.5 cents/point by redeeming through portal)

Does anyone else feel a hollownees with their lives?

We create targets for ourselves, then race to chase them down. Be it for a better career, money or a much higher standard of living. But I guess our youth pays a price for it. Not sure if this us just me or does anyone else resonates with this. For everything that I wanted to have and do have now, I feel just very hollow.

One item borrowers shopping for mortgages get too caught up in is rate. Most borrowers don’t know how to read a loan estimate and get taken advantage all the time. Just because a lender/bank offers you a low rate doesn’t mean it’s best deal. Most cases, especially now since rates have gone up, you are being charged points for some of these lower rates in the 4s. If you don’t know or understand discount points feel free to shoot me a message and I can help you review estimate and see if can beat

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

I am hesitating to take lead role. But for my experience (8 YOE) I will have to take up that role at least in my next switch.

Could you please suggest me how can I come out of this fear. I am afraid of taking lead role because of below things.

1. Taking ownership for entire team deliverables.
2. Had to attend every requirement call and as well as technical review calls. (When BA is not good, need to provide acceptance criteria points).
3. Providing and justifying resource/work estimates.

Hello, I’m a UX/UI designer with 6 years of experience based in Italy and willing to move to London. I’ve been sending CV on LinkedIn for months but clearly I’m doing something wrong. I’ve been doing interviews with big companies around Europe but never from UK, don’t know if it’s because of the Visa or something else. I’m attending a UX course in a London-based school to have a more valuable certification for the UK market. Anyone in the field that could share any tips? Thank you very much

Any idea how long will it take to get this done along with the offer letter as today 22 nd July is my last working day in current company. Should i wait for the offer letter or join other company from which I am holding offer letter right now?

Hi Fishes,

My sibling (from India) applied for Canadian Visa for study permit (2 years) and it was rejected stating the reason "the IRCC agent was not satisfied that the applicant would leave Canada at the end of their stay.
The intake was in Jan 2023.

Should we apply again? Has anyone ever experienced this and would appreciate if they can guide me? I'm really worried and emotionally tormented. Need urgent help.

Could we do a little survey of compensations and hours worked at Tech companies for roles in support function (Finance, HR, Procurement, Operations, ...)?

Please answer with Company, Function, Grade, Hours, Salary... Example:

Visa, Finance Director, 35h, 180k

Does anyone have experience with going from Canada > London. I’m A2 at a mid-tier hoping to hop over in a year. I put in some applications but got rejected within a day (assuming visa auto-decline problems).

Q for HR folks! For companies who have offices in US and Canada, how easy would it be for American HR team to set up a role & compensation via the Canadian office for a Canadian remote worker? Would be a lot of work? But i know companies like Meta and Spotify do do this.

I'm Canadian and applied to a US remote role. Canadians don't need a visa for this. One of the ways would be to use Canadian entity's hr/payroll services. They showed keen interested but waned since finding out I'm Canadian.

Applied for a job, & the recruiter followed up with me saying they really like my book & wanted the password for the protected work. Gave it to them, & haven’t heard anything in a month. (Cont)
