Interesting that you work at EY and think it’s slow right now meanwhile I can’t get adequate staffing for all the deals coming in and everyone I talk to is in a similar boat.

Oh interesting seeing different with our practice

lots of bankers want to launch processes after labor day. if you aren't busy July/August (not doing the sell-sides), expect to be busy Oct-Dec

Blowing up now and quoting fees high

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Max out my Roth IRA contributions for the previous tax year (sitting at like $4k out of $6k so far) with my stimulus check, or split it up between speculative plays I think have a ton of potential? (PLTR, CCIV, Bitcoin, and Ethereum)

Roth IRA is 100% allocated to the Vanguard Windsor fund btw. I’m 23 and think risky plays while your young are the only way you ever truly make it, but recognize the benefits of maxing Roth IRA YOY. Help!

Name that job: I love coming up with ideas to communicate and solving problems, but I hate using those ideas to sell crap or support bad companies. I want to help people and use my art direction and design skills in that. What kind of job can I get/where can I work to do that?

I work in a Rep Services Call Center for an Insurance/ Investment Company. Currently I'm pursuing my MBA at Western Governors University and I plan to get my Series 7 after my MBA so I can get out of the Call Center and advance my career. I'm looking for some advice / guidance/ideas for growth opportunities from here.

I'd like to hear about good experiences and bad experiences people have had in this industry, where did you start, how did you grow from there, what licenses do you have, ect.

Laid off, H1-B, 60 days grace period - worst case, no new employer within 60 days, would you recommend going back to the home country and search for US opportunities from there and not waste money by filing B2 and living on own here? Does remaining in US on-site can really help getting more interviews during COVID when there are no in person interviews possible? What are the pros and cons. Appreciate your thoughts.

What do you think makes more sense:
a) Stay in audit and get M1 promo this year, and then later try to transfer to FDD at manager level.
b) Move to FDD right now as S3, settle in at more relaxed pace but only hit M1 promo in 2 years.
