A GPAC recruiter reached out to me for a position seemingly based out of a smaller city about a 45 minute drive from me. When I hopped on the call with her, it turned out that the position was actually gonna be based out of a small town that was like 2+ hours away from me, and the client expectations seemed fairly out of whack for the role and geographic area. They don’t seem all that targeted to me.
I'm sure it's common in a quantity over quality business, but I once had the same GPAC recruiter contact me as a potential placement AND as a potential employer in a very short period of time. I had responded to the email from the person about an opportunity he was floating to me, but he never responded. However, that didn't stop him from sending me half a dozen emails asking me to hire him to help with any staffing needs I had. Maybe to many that's a small thing, but that sort of lack of attention to detail and professionalism really turned me off to them. Even worse, I had to send the same person 3 separate emails asking him to stop contacting me before he responded (and the emails still have not stopped, months later).
Yikes. Received a solicitation for a gig that seems almost too good to be true and every correspondence from them has been littered in spelling mistakes. Seems like red flags all around.
