I recently received an offer from a competitor with a promotion to my existing role and close to 50% hike. PwC is about to file my I140 in premium now and now I am caught up in 2 minds. Would I wait for another 180 days to make sure that my I140 technically cannot be revoked or do i risk joining the new firm ? The new firm would start my GC process after 6 months of joining and my H1 max out period is in July 2024.

Deloitte started my green card process in 2019. Went through prevailing wage last September, then they paused the process I guess due to covid and political reasons. I checked last month and it’s still on a pause. My 6 year H1B is up in 2023. Any suggestions on what to do next or anyone know how long the pause usually last? I am from China mainland. Thank you

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? Hi, I am on H1B and partipated in an online survey (a few of them last year). I only get to redeem the points for gift cards (no cash transactions) but once the overall redemption crossed $600 previous year, I was asked for ssn to issue a 1099-MISC form (I did confirm with the company). But now I got a 1099-NEC form (non employee compensation) which I believe should not be getting on h1b as it is considered as self employment. Any ideas on how to deal with this?

Is their any risk on employer doing recruitment phase for PERM before the PWD has been approved?

My H1-B expires on April 2022. My perm is currently in process and they are applying for H1B extension and H4 visa extension for my spouse. The immigration team said that they can apply for an H4 ead as well. Is that possible? My H1b visa started April 2016 on i-94 and and is stamped as start date April 2016. I have only been physically in the US for 5 years and 2 months. I am confused on how can they still file for an EAD? Am I missing something?

I-140 approved more than 180 days ago. Have one year left to 6th cap for h1b. If I change job now, can my new employer use my current employer’s I 140 to extend another 3 year (over the 6th cap)? Does the new employer have to file I-140 very soon or can wait a bit? I’m Chinese and PD is not far from current. Thanks!’
