Hi Fishes,
Just wanted to know about internal mobility in morgan Stanley Bangalore/Mumbai office. Is it good ? Do they actually promote internal mobility or is it just for name sake like in most other companies ?
I am specifically interested to know about IJP (Internal job posting) in investment management/risk management deptt.
Do they offer hike at the time of taking IJP...?

No, this is not the norm. This is a practice that doesn’t do a good job of schedule management.
The longest I waited for an appointment for my OB across both my pregnancies was 20min.
My first two GYNOs were like this where I’d show up before my appointment but then wait like 30min + to see her. I ended up switching and my current gyno is only ever a 5-10 minute wait (including me getting there like 1-10 min before my appointment time)

For doctors appointments I try to schedule in the first half of the day as early as I can, to avoid the lag that comes from people being late.
This may not apply to your appointments but maybe it will help someone else. Good luck 🤗
This isn’t always the norm. But if the physician is a solo practitioner, every day will be a bit unpredictable. If they’re unable to explain the wait, then worth finding a new office.
You might benefit from switching to a bigger practice.
I went to a small OB office with 2 doctors and 3 nurses. The typical wait time was 5 minutes. A nurse would bring me in, get my vitals, hand me a cup, and then I'd wait another 5-10 minutes for the doctor.
There was only one time I needed to wait 30 minutes and another one time I needed to wait for an hour. Both times the doctor was delivering a baby at the hospital.
Something else to consider is asking if they deliver outside of normal business hours. Unfortunately, when I delivered, my doctor wasn't available (11pm), so another doctor who I've never met handled the delivery. My doctor came in the morning after to check in on me, but I barely remember that visit.
I would book first appointment of the day for this very reason.

This is not normal and you should definitely switch. Also my appointments typically lasted for about 20 to 30mins. For reference, I used a midwife.
Ok thank you all! I thought I was going crazy because this practice has really good reviews and I was very confused as to why. It’s a pretty big practice (prob 15-20 OBs) and they all seem to have long wait times. I understand things come up w births and surgeries but the consistent long delays and rushed visits makes me think they’ve either taken on more patients than they can handle and / or are just bad at managing their doctors schedules. They also have very limited availability in general for scheduling appointments even far in advance. The one time I was able to get the second appointment of the day, the wait was a lot better but it was still 15-20 minutes which seemed odd to me.

I remember being put in a room for so long at the OB that I curled up on the table and took a nap. Truth is they double and triple book every ten minutes anticipating no-shows, but then when everyone shows they are making bank at the patient’s expense.

No, I leave when Dr.‘s visits don’t occur as scheduled. One I waited for a doctor 1 hour after meeting time. I’m sorry but I have kids waiting and things to do. I can’t sit around here all morning.
The long wait isn’t normal but mostly surprised at how quickly they see you for. How far along are you? My visits took at least 15 min in the beginning to do a fetal monitor and answer questions I had.
