Hi Fishes, I got a call from Infosys HR stating that I'm selected and I would receive offer in 10 days. It's been around 12 days now, yet to receive the offer. HR's not picking the calls too. Any ideas, has anyone undergone the same situation. Please help. Infosys Infosys Limited Infosys Consulting

If I have to see dudes in boat shoes I can wear open toed heels. Fair is fair

Yeah was gonna say the same thing, with a nice pedicure they should be fine. But then wondering if the need for a pedicure is also a patriarchy enforced norm. Men wear open sandals with butt ugly feet 🤔. (Note - I like getting pedis, so I’m not implying I’m forced to do so, but wondering generally)

I have nice feet and I feel weird when my toenails aren’t painted even though I shouldn’t… my boyfriend has gross toes and wears flip flops without a care in the world haha
I don’t think open toed shoes are inherently unprofessional and would say use your judgement
Don’t see the issue. I usually get a nice manicure with neutral tone just to make sure it looks nice
I’m sitting here in Florida wearing open toe block heels (may even be veering into sandal territory) with no pedicure and ratchet runners feet. Wearing with silk button down and black skinny pants and personally I think it looks good. Think it depends on location and client.
Know your audience, I’m also federal government and will wear open toe shoes during the warmer months.
If you have unsightly feet, maybe reconsider, but that’s up to you.
In business etiquette classes we were taught no. Not only is seeing your toes unprofessional, but it’s a work hazard. If you stub your toe or drop something on your foot, you’re more likely to break a toe. That’s why some companies don’t even allow open toe shoes.
The only thing that will probably guarantee that you don't break your toe is steel-toed shoes. Most of us don't wear those to work.

Know your dress code, but typically I think if it isn’t a very formal business environment (e.g. men are in matching suits and ties, women solely wear suits or suit skirts), it should be fine. My go-to in the summer is open-toed heel paired with either black or navy pants and a fun colorful blazer, or the open-toed heel paired with a black dress and a silk scarf or blazer.

I agree with this!
I’ve worked in several different client industries; financial services in NYC, federal government in DC, and now tech on the Wedt coast and I’ve worn open toed shoes in all settings. Depends on the shoe but a simple, neutral design with a nice pedicure is just fine.

How did you transition between those?

Im in federal government so here it’s a no
Really depends on your office, I'd just make sure they don't veer into heeled sandal territory.
Agree depends on client / location - peep toe much more business professional vs heeled sandals

I live in the South and wear chunky open toed shoes all summer long

I see no problem with it, but I’ve lived in TX and CA so we do wear sandals to the office in the summer
Yes, totally cool. I wear it all the time, but definitely depends on the surrounding dress code.
